IMG_2951plateA salad spinner is a simple way to create spin paintings.

You will need:

Small paper plates,salad spinner and paints

 

Method:

Insert a small paper paint into the salad spinner and let the child drip a selection of paints onto the plate. Then place on the lid and let the child spin the paint. You can open the spinner and discuss what has happened to the paint and how it has changed. More colours can be added. When the plates are dry you can hole punch around the edge and then the child can thread cord around the plate leaving a loop from which it can be hung.
