Ladybird Hats
Make a simple ladybird hat.
What you will need1 Sheet of red card
1 Sheet of black card
2 pipe-cleaners
Glue
Sellotape/Stapler
1. Fold the red card in half lengthways and cut down the middle to make 2 pieces.
2. Sellotape/Staple 2 ends together to make one long strip (as this will have to go round the child's head) If using staplers put sellotape over the top so that child doesn't hurt themself.
3. Cut out circles from the black card.
4. Cut out 2 heart shapes from the black card.
5. Twist pipe-cleaners around a pencil to make it look a 'springy'.
6. Attach the heart shapes to one end of the pipe-cleaner.
7. Let the child stick the black spots anywhere they want on the red card.
8. When they have finished measure and sellotape/staple card to fit the child's head.
9. Attach the other end of the pipe-cleaners to the inside of the card to llok like antennae.
