You need:
.........
Fruit box trays from green grocer
Pipe cleaners
Ribbons
Coloured paper and crepe paper
Felt tip pens
Glue
Google eyes
Hole punch
Directions
Cut up fruit trays into strips
The children can colour and glue items onto the tray.
Older children can be encouraged to create stripes and patterns.
Support children to punch holes along the sides for legs.
Children can then thread pipe cleaners through the holes (these can be sharp at the end and it is worth turning the ends over once they are though the holes to create feet).
Children can then glue on eyes.
Support children in rolling a small piece of crepe paper (black if possible) about 2 cm square into an antenne, and repeat.
